Open Studios
An Open Studio with us is guided either virtually or in-person by facilitator Gretchen Raley, LMHC, typically about 90 minutes in length. Open Studios are designed to be an avenue for anyone to experience the expressive arts as a mode of self-discovery and personal growth. Participants will be asked to engage in a variety of intermodal forms of expression such as visual art, writing, music, and/or movement, and usually some type of guided meditation. Open studios differ from therapy in that participants are not clients, and the facilitator is not their therapist. That said, art-making can in itself be therapeutic, and therefore it is important for participants to practice their own self-care following a session if/when emotional material comes up. A list of referrals to local therapists may be provided upon request. No art experience is necessary.
Open studios are offered periodically throughout the year and can also be arranged for established groups. Reach out to Gretchen at 321-234-6876 to learn more!
